Complimentary Initial Screening: An important initial step is for us to
meet with parents to determine whether Occupational Therapy(OT) or
Speech Therapy(ST) is right for your child. Based on your child’s age
and the challenges being faced, you can decide with a therapist what
types of evaluation service will meet your child’s needs. We offer a
complimentary initial screening to determine if a comprehensive
evaluation is recommended. The information you provide will help us
target the specific areas we need to investigate to meet your child’s
unique needs.
Evaluations: There are a wide range of evaluations available to assess
your child’s strengths and challenges. We do a combination of
standardized testing and clinical assessments to determine your child’s
needs. The evaluation can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours over 1 or 2
sessions depending upon the age of your child and your concerns. If
deemed helpful, we will collaborate with other helping professionals in
your child's life, such as teachers, pediatricians, and other professionals.
Treatment Consultation: If through the evaluation process, occupational
therapy treatment is recommended, we will schedule a consultation with
you in order to prioritize goals for your child. You are always welcome
to visit us at Therapy Tree to visit our facility and speak with an
occupational therapist to ensure that we are a good fit for you and your
family.
